Cocktail Confessions

Eclectic.

That’s what most of my friends would say to describe me.  I have a wide variety of both tastes and likes in just about everything, such as music I listen to, the foods I eat, and hobbies I enjoy.

I consider myself an expressive, creative, and an overly curious person….always looking for new things to learn, try, experiment with, share, and otherwise occupy my idle time.  Among these things, some of my interests include: culinary arts, politics, brewing my own beer, making sausage, reading novels, collecting comics, PC and platform gaming, photography, serial television, model railroading, and of course science fiction. 

I have had some exposure to blogging before as I also author the following sites: thedailywoof.blogspot.com (a blog devoted to our four legged friends), Paw Pantry (my online store for natural dog treats), and Kablamcomix (where I pontificate on comics and video games I enjoy).  I try an flex my writing muscles at those sites, but they are pretty genre specific and limiting.

So why this blog?  Well, I am seeking yet another outlet to fulfill both my creative and inquisitive needs.  I am fascinated with recent technological strides in social networking, whether that be Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Podcasting or others.  I wanted a hobby that I could grow into by learning and playing with the various technologies, all the while wanting to share so many interesting stories, memories, and friendships with you.  And it doesn’t hurt if I can throw back a couple cold ones while doing it.

In time I hope to incorporate podcasts that cover a mix of topics, some that I am very passionate about, and hopefully ones that you suggest to me as well.  That’s one thing I intend this site to be as opposed to my others: an ‘everything’ site that may or may not find its direction in time.  A place where my buddies and I can talk about the pop-culture and topics that everyone may be interested in, filled with wit, good stories, and of course good drinks.  Hopefully you’ll stick around for a while as this site grows, and if there are thing you like or don’t like and have any suggestions, please fell free to drop us a line at: cocktails1@hotmail.com.
